Wednesday

Fun Find Wednesday!!

A few months back I came across this on Pinterest and completely forgot about it.

How great is this?

So, as soon as this busy little bee has time, I will be giving this a go! I cannot wait!
Except, I feel this is a little much for a necklace, So..I'm thinking mine will be a bracelet!

Sunday

I need to wrap my head around this one!

I haven't talked about a maxi in a while...
Can we just look at this outfit for a sec.
I LOVE.

Saturday

Mississippi Sin Dip

For our last girl's get-together I made this dip right here.  It was a hit!

What You Will Need:
16oz. Sour Cream
8oz. Cream Cheese
2 cups shredded cheddar
1/2 cup chopped ham
1 green onion chopped
1/4 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire
salt
pepper
French Bread Loaf

What To Do:
Mix all ingredients- except French Bread of course
Cut center out of loaf and save pieces for dipping
Pour mix into the bread and you're ready to serve

Yes.  It's that easy!

Now,  sometimes a lot of times I end up veering from the recipe.  So I ended up leaving out the ham (just not a fan).  I also used a packet of Ranch Dressing Party Dip and added about half the pouch.  Just seasoned to taste.  Either way you choose I'm sure it will be great.  This one is a hard one to mess up.. like you would have to be very talented.

Oh and you may want to bring a bag of Fritos.  The bread doesn't make it very far.

Now you have a go-to dip for those last minute parties.  Everyone needs one, right?

Friday

That's right ladies... it's BLACK FRIDAY!

Will you be braving the stores today?? I'm not exactly sure what my day will entail but I'm thinking this girl will probably be avoiding those hot spots at all costs.  It gets pretty intense and not to mention dangerous out there! I swear on the day after Thanksgiving aliens come in and take over.  They replace all the women out there with these crazed shop-a-holics that will get the best deal at ALL costs... even if they have to trample a few people along the way! And slowly but surely from today until Christmas our loved ones are brought back to us and the aliens are returned to their mother ship, just in time to open presents on Christmas day!

While I am not into the chaos of Black Friday, it does put me in the Christmas spirit already! Cannot wait to start hanging lights and decorating the tree! I hear jingle bells already!
I just love this time of year!!

Well I'm off to get into some mischief.
For all you shoppers out there be safe and try your hardest to minimize the casualties today!!

Thursday

Just a few things I am thankful for:
My crazy family, all my wonderful friends, my health and happiness, and I am very thankful for such a beautiful day the Lord has created for us to celebrate in!

I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC day!
My your food be delicious and your waistband be elastic!

Wednesday

Colored tights- They are in!
Accept it!!

Um and those shoes.... well.. those shoes I could go on about all day!! Stay on topic, stay on topic, stay on topic!

Bottom line is- I want to wear tights with everything.  I was kind of shy about it at first but I think I am beginning to master it.

Alright kids... I did it!!

So.. you are going to have to ignore my magnificent icing job! It may not be the prettiest thing BUT boy was it tasty!! And my plan actually worked!

What You Will Need:
Duncan Hines Red Velvet cake mix
Philadelphia Ready-To-Eat Cheesecake Filling (by the way this COULD be located by the pudding- long story)
Duncan Hines Cream Cheese Icing (the large can)

Tips:
So as you can see, I have a rather large layer of cheese cake.  It may be a good idea to cut back just a smidgen.
Having two cake pans that are the exact same size and shape would also be advised- this I did not have.  Made things interesting.
Let your cakes cool before assembling and icing!

Alright, there ya go! Now you have all the ins and outs!!

Good luck my friends!!

P.S.  Try not to eat it all in one sitting.  I know it will be tough.

FUN FIND WEDNESDAY

Want to add a little color to your lips for a nice subtle day look? And moisturize at the same time.
Do I have a treat for you!!

P.S.  I apologize for all the lip talk this week. I promise I will switch topics momentarily!

Now back to lips.. Check it out!

This stuff is THE best!! Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm.  My color choice is Red Dahlia.
You can find this at most drug stores! Only $6.99 I believe and it feels AMAZING! While adding just the right amount of color and shine for a casual day lip.

Enjoy my friends!
Now.. I promise not to talk about lips... or lip products for at least... a week!

Tuesday

Okay so it is no news flash that I have completely 100% embraced the red lipstick.

For TIPS TUESDAY I have decided to re-blog from Amanda Claire the technique of perfectly applying red lipstick!

Lets get started...

What I Use:
OLAY Complete to moisturize
Revlon Color Stay in red/rouge (coincidence- great minds must really think alike)
Estee Lauder Plum Fizz (I've only discussed this 3 times now)

Check out AmandaClaireHarden to see what she uses!

For other tips and make up tutorials browse through Keiko Lynn

I hope this helps you on your journey to bringing the "fierceness" out (through your lip expression that its!).
Have a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

This Tuesday is looking like an ugly one for sure guys! So I will be held up in the house until this nasty weather clears out.  Luckily I have a few projects that I could take on.  And since the TV is on the fritz due to the rain and wind, I really do not have a choice in the matter.  It is unfortunate though that I did not have a chance to make it to the store to get my ingredients for that scrumptious red velvet cheese cake.  No worries that baby will be made TODAY!! As for now... I'm off to see what I can get into to occupy my time.

Don't forget to check back for Tips Tuesday!

Monday

This makes me want to run out and buy another tube of my favorite red lipstick!

Estee Lauder's Plum Fizz.

Okay so I stumbled across this on Pinterest today...

How delicious does that look?? Well, I cannot seem to find the recipe for this EXACT one but I have been doing some research! Here is what I have come up with..

McCormick gives a very convincing recipe.  Convincing in the sense that they make it sound easy enough for even me to handle! Click here for their recipe.
Cake Central also has a recipe for Red Velvet Cheesecake.. but it may be more intense than this not so kitchen savvy chick can handle.  But it you want to brave it click here

Now that I have been inspired, and tomorrow is supposed to be rather nasty outside.. here is MY plan.  I'm thinking I will buy some red velvet box cake mix.. that's right.. bring on the Better Crocker.... or Duncan Hines, which ever you prefer. Now I've thought about it and I have decided that I will make two THIN layer round cakes (meaning split the batch into two pans).  Next I'm going to buy the cheese cake filling that Philadelphia Cream Cheese makes (over by the regular cream cheese in the big tub).  AND pick up some cream cheese icing (also store bought- not home made).  And lastly I'm going to assemble my red velvet cheesecake with LOVE of course. Cake-Cheesecake-cake-icing on top.. You get my drift! And we will just see what I come up with!

So what do you think?? I mean it COULD work.. right???

I'll keep you all posted tomorrow!!

I'm finding this to be more and more true.. EVERYDAY!

So needless to say my Monday has not been the least bit manic.  Finally a peaceful one!
Spent most of my morning at the hair salon.  My hair is now a nice auburn/red.  Went a little bold, but I am very pleased.

Happy Monday everyone!

Friday

FREEDOM!!

This week is finally over guys! We all have survived.
Now let the weekend begin! Better yet, let the WEEK begin.
Thank goodness it is Thanksgiving break!!

I can honestly say I am beyond thrilled that my evening plans consist of hanging out with my lovely family and great friends with some grilled food and good drinks..... by the outdoor heaters! Much needed after this week. Just what the doctor ordered!

Happy Friday everyone! Let it be a safe and eventful one!

Thursday

Well guys.  I made it.   But I'm not out of the woods yet.

Now if only I could look like her while being this stressed......
Not happening!

Happy Thursday all.

I hope your Thursday has not been as stressful and busy as mine.  One test down, one more to go today.  Then study study study for the two we have tomorrow.

I'll let you all know if I survive this next one!!

Wednesday

Actually. Yes! Thanks for asking!
Only 4 tests this week.  No biggie....
Yet another obsession

 For my wallet that is!

Steve Madden "Kennyya"

FUN FIND WEDNESDAY!

This is a jersey scarf with lace.  How wonderful does that sound!
What is more comfortable than a t-shirt? Around your neck?  To keep you toasty in the cold weather??
And look how precious it is!
Yep! I'm thinking this may be my next DIY project!

Tuesday

This is a truth that is so simply said.  And as for me, the new chapter is beginning now!
There is no need to waste time on the past.  The future looks so much brighter! Don't you agree?
Confession......

So, when it comes to bathroom organization- well.... I do not have any.

However, this has me inspired!

Doesn't that look so nice?

TIPS TUESDAY

So for this Tuesday I thought I would share Turkey 101.  For the past three years I have been in charge of cooking the turkey for our Thanksgiving.  And all three years it has turned out great and it's SO easy.

What you will need:
Thawed turkey, butter, Tony Chachere's Creole original seasoning, three large onions, one bundle of celery, and an oven baking bag,

How to:
1. Wash your turkey of course and make sure to pull all the unnecessary parts out.
2. Coat turkey in butter. (tub of butter is better than sticks)
3. Coat with Tony Chachere's seasoning.
4. Place turnkey in baking bag.
5. Chop onions and celery into pieces.
6. Place onions and celery in bag with turkey (I also stuff some inside the turkey).
7. Bake according to the baking bag directions
YOUR DONE!

Super easy and have not had a single complaint.  It's actually received pretty great reviews from all my friends. Next year I plan to experiment a little more with injections and all that fun stuff but for now, easy is the way to go!
 Hope this helps.  Good luck!

Monday

Yes. Please!
Between the messy up-do and the leopard... I just do not even know what to do!

Well hello strangers! I know I was MIA this weekend.  Between Bulldog Bash, the game, and out Thanksgiving dinner I was running like crazy all weekend! But rest assured, I'm back!! And I promise posts that you will want to read this week.  One of which will be Turkey 101.  Since we did just have our Thanksgiving, I've decided to let you all in on my Turkey that ANYONE can make.

As for this week, I have a feeling this week is going to be a....

This chick has 4 tests this week among everyday life things.  So stressed does not even capture it.  But I will not be disappearing anytime soon so no worries!  I hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend and I really hope your Monday was not manic!

Friday

Guys... it is COLD outside!!

I'm about to start my trip to Starkville shortly and tonight just so happens to be Bulldog Bash.  This is an outside street concert.  Well I have NO ideas what the heck I am going to wear considering it is going to be in the 30's tonight.. That's right.. the 30's.  Last year this time we were still sweating out tooshes off!

So I am about to start the crazy process of packing.  Which really means the process of throwing my whole closet in my car.  Oh goodness.  I need help!!

Happy Friday everyone!!

Thursday

Today has been and will continue to be a whirl wind, probably until I close my eyes tonight!

I have a pretty massive test tomorrow that I have been studying for all week that I am almost positive I will never make it through all the material in time! Isn't that just great! On top of that I have paperwork to do, a paper to wright, and of course packing up to do (which requires washing clothes).

Tomorrow as soon as I can, I will be once again heading off to Starkville for Bulldog Bash.  This weekend should be very eventful! And on Sunday we are having our Thanksgiving with all our friends! It is going to be so much fun! And guess who is cooking the turkey and dressing... Your's truly!!

Well I'm off for now to attempt to get all my chores done!!
I am in dire need of a new handbag.  Let me just explain my situation.

You know how you always end up with that one go-to-bag.  Well that is the one I'm using right now.  It's one that just goes with everything and while it is a GREAT purse, it has seen better days.  This particular one I have had for..... 5ish years.  So I'm thinking it is about time.  So, anyway, I stumbled upon the Tory Burch website and I have fallen in love and in love and in love and in love.  Confused by what I mean?  Let me just give you a visual...

Now do you get it??

hmm I feel a Christmas list addition!
